The Bold and the Beautiful Is on air on CBS.
Darin Brooks is one of the protagonists of the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful, in the role of Wyatt Spencer (look at the page about The Bold and the Beautiful).
Q. In Beautiful, Wyatt Spencer often goes into complicated situations. Are you like that too?
A. No way! I am a real jokester and just want people to laugh and have a great time. I’d like to think that since I was born and raised in Hawaii, I’m really easy going. We just grew up at such a slow and peaceful pace.

Q. In a few months you will become a father. How are you preparing for this moment?
A. I know. It’s crazy! First, we couldn’t be more excited. Especially to be having a girl! So I’m preparing by getting my baseball bat out and ready for when she starts getting boyfriends. As well as, starting to think about how to decorate her room in our house. Registering for all the baby things, etc. It’s gonna be a blast.
Q. I read that you practice surfing. Why do you like this sport?
A. I love Surfing because it’s my therapy, my meditation in a way. It allows me to get my mind of anything in the world. Stress falls away and you just become one with the ocean. I can’t describe how it feels to catch a wave and carve it up. It’s just pure joy for me!
Q. Do you play football too?
A. Yes, I do play football a little bit. I used to play it in high school and I played a football player on TV from “Blue Mountain State”, of course. But that’s just one of those things that is just fun to throw the football around with a friend to pass the time.
Q. In your opinion, what is the reason for the success of this soap opera?
A. I believe Beautiful is successful because of it’s family roots. Both how the show was created with Bill and Lee and Brad and the family. They are so family oriented and it’s just amazing to watch how much of a family man Brad is. And that translates to us who work for him! Everyone that works on the show from production, to crew, to actors, etc. Were all just one big family and get along amazingly. And the stories that are told are about families, with those same strong bonds, which I believe is what everybody loves to watch every day.
Q. Which cast actor do you most agree with?
A. The actor I most agree with probably would be Scott (Clifton, Ed., read the interview) He’s my brother on the show and we have become close and he’s like my brother from another mother. Him and I discuss the show and things a lot. He’s good people for sure.
Q. You grew up in Honolulu: what is the most beautiful aspect of this city?
A. Yeah I grew up in Hawaii! Which is crazy to say sometimes. There are many beautiful aspects of my home state! The food is amazing! The pace of life is slow and peaceful and relaxed! The people are loving and share the Aloha. And the surf! There is no better surf in the world for me!
Q. Do you often come back to your city?
A. I don’t get to go back as often as I would like though. I want to get back a few times a year moving forward because I feel like I need that recharge and I definitely want to get my daughter up on a surfboard and experience that life as well!
Q. Is it true that you're working on a horror movie?
A. I am working on a few projects actually. There is a horror movie I’m still working on getting off the ground, but it’s really complex and it’s a tough subject to crack. I’ve finished a rough draft of a new Jonah and the Whale tale. I’ve finished actually a Christmas movie and am currently writing a bunch of other things as well. Just trying to dabble in a few things on the side, while working at my amazing job at Beautiful.
