The film also tells the story of human ambition. What do you think of this subject?
It’s certainly a cautionary tale and we confront the costs and the benefits of vaulted ambition. Someone once said that no one gets to be a millionaire by being a boy scout, and I believe that’s true to a large extent. Sacrifices are made—but what kind of sacrifices? Do you sacrifice people and relationships? Ray Kroc built something out of a small idea and created an industry. It was an act of sheer audacity and pretty amazing. But it had its costs. This film explores those costs and the untold parts of the story of one of the most famous brands in the world.
