You play the role of Emilia Bassano in the TV series "Will."
Playing Emilia has been the time of my life, in a completely different way from playing Evie was. Firstly, Emilia Bassano was a real person. I’ve always wanted to play someone who actually lived, especially who left something behind that I could study and draw from. Emilia left her poetry - and to make it even cooler - she was the first female English poet who published under her own name instead of using a man’s! What a kick ass woman! All of the other artists involved - actors, dancers, writers, directors, choreographers, the list goes on… - were beyond kind, of the highest calibre, and from all over the world, and I count myself blessed to have had the opportunity to story tell with them. Perhaps what I loved most though, was working with Jan Haydn Rowles, one of the best accent coaches on the planet, to learn Emilia’s. She is impeccable, and learning an accent is just like learning a new language or a new piece of music. I had the time of my life.
