Q. Your song “If I Loved You” alternates a pop style with a more narrated one. Which artists did you take inspiration from?
A. There are so many artists that I love and inspire me. One artist that has always been a huge inspiration to me is Katy Perry. She makes fun pop hits with a message, and I love that!
Q. How did your life experiences affect song lyrics?
A. My songs are my life experiences! My lyrics are always inspired by events or circumstances that are happening around me.
Q. In the song “Madness” you open up as you cry. How come this choice?
A. I wanted to be real with the song! That yes, even though, it's a fun pop song, I wrote it when I was sad because someone was leaving me.
Q. Where did you record the songs?
A. I recorded it at my producer’s, Adrian Gurvitz, studio. He is a legend, and recording where so many other greats have was so surreal.
Q. Are you also planning an album?
A. Yes! I’ve been releasing singles, but I’m also wanting to eventually release my full album.
Q. You live in Los Angeles. What is the best and worst aspect of the city?
A. The best aspect is you can find yourself, there are so many endless possibilities and so many different doors to open but the worst is the traffic. I hate the traffic!
