Edward Ricourt worked as a writer on the movies Now You See Me  1-2, in Tv Series Jessica Jones and  Wayward Pines. The new film is Sweet Thunder by Nate Parker.

You wrote, "Now you see me 1 - 2."  Why did you choose the theme of magic and how did you get the idea?

I wrote the first movie, but I wanted to do other things creatively and other writers worked on the 2nd movie. I choose magic because to me, movies are magic -- suspending disbelief for two hours and going on an adventure. Magicians are also dramatic. We watch their shows, wondering if they can pull off the impossible. They felt like good characters for a heist movie. And everyone loves magic.
