Like my character in Duncanville, Jing, I was also adopted. I’ve been back to Korea three times, the most recent in 2012. I miss it. Each time I’ve visited I’ve felt more and more in touch with my identity as an adoptee, an Asian American, a mother. It’s a fascinating journey I hope to continue for the rest of my life.
