Q. You are working on Chicken Soup For The Soul’s Animal Tales on The CW. How do they choose the stories to feature?
A. We have wonderful producers who research and seek out some of the most inspiring stories about animals and people and the synergy between the two. We feature amazing animals who are doing extraordinary things like assisting people with medical conditions and we also feature amazing people who are doing things like helping to save endangered animals. A lot of work and consideration goes into each show to bring you some very inspiring stories.

Q. What is the preparation process for each show?
A. Crews are sent out to interview, document and capture the incredible stories that we want to feature in each show. Once the producers feel that they have a full and complete story, it is edited, locked and placed into the show. For my part, I tape all of my stuff at a soundstage. I introduce the show and all of the segments for the audience.
Q. Are you an animal lover?
A. I am a huge animal lover. I currently have two rescue dogs and I have had dogs throughout my life. As a child, I grew up in a rural suburb where I owned and rode horses for fun and competition. As a travel junkie, a couple years ago, my daughter and I went to Thailand and rode elephants. They are such beautiful creatures. I love all animals and I understand that it is our responsibility to protect and preserve all animals for future generations.
Q. You starred on CSI: Miami. Looking back on your time there, overall what was that experience like for you?
A. CSI: Miami was one of the greatest gifts to my career. I had just gone through a divorce and finished up a long career on All My Children and I was moving from New York to Los Angeles without a job. CSI:Miami literally landed on my lap. It was great stability and it catapulted my career. The cast and crew were amazing and I miss working on that show everyday. It was definitely one of the highlights of my professional life.
Q. Earlier in your career, you worked on Danielle Steele’s Remembrance, based on the best selling book. Were you a fan of Danielle Steele’s work?
A. I can’t say that I was a huge Danielle Steele fan but I did read Remembrance and I loved it because it was historical fiction. I really love period pieces and historical historical fiction. This book and the film of course took place right after WW2 when royalty and the privileged classes in Europe were losing their posts and positions. It was a troubling time yet it is so fascinating and interesting at the same time.
Q. You have European origins in your family history. Have you ever visited Italy?
A. I have been to Italy many times and I have been all over Italy. Some of my favorite places are Venice, Milan, Florence, Rome, The Amalfi Coast and there are really too many to count. One of my favorite places of all time is Tuscany. I really want to rent a house in Tuscany some day and spend a long period of time just hanging out like one of the natives and enjoying the countryside and the amazing and rich culture.
Q. What is your next project?
A. Currently I am in the process of creating a show of my own. I am working with my producing partners and we are pitching our show to various production companies, studios and networks. So far, there seems to be genuine interest. I am also having fun making videos for my new internet series, “Paren Teen”. You can find it on my Eva La Rue Youtube Channel. I address issues surrounding parenting with a humorous approach in an effort to let other parents out there realize that they are not alone. All parents have to stick together and support one another while laughing ourselves through life.
